Comments: The most important training you can give your dog is confidence and exposure at a very early age! I believe every dog has the ability to do many things, we just need to open the doors for them. I like to start young dogs and new handlers in UKC which offers more opportunity to succeed. Other venues are more demanding and should be a next step from UKC. Also, UKC offers non-AKC registered breeds and mixed breeds the opportunity to compete.
